Pair Of Regency Cast Iron Pediment Over Doors ( sold )
The most glorious pair of early 19th century, Regency period cast iron over doors / pediments. Decorated and centred with a large anthemion, with scrolling and floral detail, both in wonderful condition and retaining layers of ancient paint.
Provenance: Hadzor Hall, Droitwich, Worcestershire.
Built c1779, refaced and extended in 1827 by Matthew Habershon, when these pediment / over doors would have been added either for a conservatory or orangery.
