Fine Pair Of Early 19th Century Terracotta Garden Urns ( sold )
A truly beautiful and rare pair of early 19th century classically inspired terracotta garden urns attributed to Mark Henry Blanchard. Of good scale and finely cast , with guilloche decoration running around the middle, bold handles and an egg and dart rim. Although not stamped, these urns show characteristics in design, form and construction of material to other Blanchard urns.
Condition: In untouched condition, both urns with nibbles and chips, one handle has been off and cemented back on, generally as you would expect from over hundred and fifty years of outdoor use.
