Pair Of George III Original Painted Shield Back Side Chairs ( sold )
A really wonderful, pair of late 18th century upholstered side chairs. Retaining their original painted decoration, which is beautifully worn and weathered, the seats reupholstered up to their stitched and rolled edge hessian level, ready for their top coat. Traces of old woodworm, not structural and has been treated, some touch in to central stretcher on both chairs, please see images.
