A large, 19th century terracotta tazza centrepiece urn by Stiff and Sons, standing on a J M Blashfield pedestal. Both in very good condition, with only a few nibbles to the rim and base, commensurate with age and use.

James Stiff established his business in 1842, previously having worked for Doulton. His sons joined him in 1863 producing garden terracotta urns, pedestals and statuary. The works closed in 1912 and sold to Royal Doulton in 1913.
