Large 19th Century Lead Workers Spa Display Cabinet
A large, rare and truly wonderful example of a late 19th century spar display cabinet. Constructed in pine with fine turned decoration, triangular in form, with displays on all sides, generously filled with gloriously sparkling mineral samples.
Lead miners collected these minerals while working, making objects and producing display cases, both for competition against each other and to sell for extra income. There is a collection of these displayed at the Killhope Museum, County Durham.
