A magnificent set of English 19th century village stocks, used for public humiliation or punishment, from, Kirton, Nr Boston in Lincolnshire. Retaining its original paint, lock plate, brackets, carrying handles and all peg constructed, a rare survivor.
In very good, untouched condition, traces of woodworm, top edge of the top rail.
