A beautiful and rare pair of mid 19th century buff terracotta garden urns by J M Blashfield, standing on carved Portland stone pedestals. Crisply cast and wonderfully detailed with anthemion and lion detail, stamped 'The Stamford Terra Cotta Company ( Blashfield's ) Limited, Stamford.
Model No 313 - Tazza in the J M Blashfield catalogue of 1857
Generally in good condition, one bowl repaired, both with nibbles and chips as you would expect, the carved Portland stone bases beautifully weathered.
