A rare, early 19th century life size terracotta figure of Diana Of Gabii, standing on its original pedestal, the figure stamped 'Coade's Terra-Cotta Lambeth'.
A lovely, rare figure, with lots of old restoration to the body and pedestal ( please see images ), but in strong and stable condition.
Diana of Gabii is a Roman copy of the Greek statue Artemis Brauronia by Praxiteles 4th century B.C . It was originally part of the Borghese collection and is now housed in the Louvre.
