A glorious and rare, very large pair of 19th century buff terracotta garden urns by James Pulham of Broxbourne. The bead and reel top edge, above a bold acanthus border, going down to the wonderfully bulbous gadrooned body with large acanthus handles, the whole standing on its original extended socle. In generally good condition, with a couple of losses to the socles edging, repairs to the handles. James Pulham established the Pulham Company in 1820 and started manufacturing terracotta products from around 1846 through to the early part of the 20th century specialising in exterior, landscape and garden ornaments.
